Evidently, a calendar is used to remind people of dates, meetings and special occasions. To create a calendar for personal use is very easy since the programs needed to make it is already in most computer systems. MS Word and MS Excel are two great examples of applications used to make calendars. These programs are capable of making calendar templates, such as word calendar template that contains typical format of a calendar with grids, lines and dates.
Reminding family members of appointments, special gatherings and events is more fun if you design a more graphic monthly calendar with a word calendar template. Appointments, gatherings or events will be on the top of their minds.
A word calendar template may be created by opening a Microsoft Word blank document first. Find the Microsoft Office Online toolbar on the right part of the window. Now, type in "monthly calendar" on the "Search for" box. Search results will show different options listed under calendars. One has varied choices so one should take time to browse through them and find one that is suitable to one’s taste and personality. Word calendar template ranges from academic calendar, a weekly template, and even a six month page calendar.
Once one makes a selection, then start downloading, and a new page will open with the Word calendar template.
With the Word calendar template on hand, it is time to personalize it with some photos. Start by clicking on the cell of the specific date you choose to place the image then go to "insert". Next, go to "picture" and choose "Clip art" and encode the search term. If needed, resize the image by dragging the small square on the edges of the image into your desired size. Next is typing in the details of the appointment, event or reminders by simply clicking on the scheduled date and encode the information needed. You can either highlight or bold the text to emphasize its importance. Colors can also add some variety to the calendar; simply use the color swatches on the toolbar.
Once everything is done, you can finally put it up on the fridge door or any place easily visible for the family.
